Dr. N. Nick Bhatt

Dr. Bhatt in Surgery.jpg

Dr. Bhatt's residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine was an extremely comprehensive training program where he trained under the top cosmetic surgeons in Manhattan, honing his skills in cosmetic facial plastic surgery and cosmetic breast surgery, including augmentations and reductions and post-weight loss body contouring. After completing this residency, to further refine his skills, he pursued additional fellowship training in microvascular surgery and advanced aesthetic surgery at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. By being certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Bhatt is amongst a small minority of surgeons possessing these certifications.

After the completion of training, he joined the faculty in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill, NC) in 2016. In short order, he built a robust and

eclectic practice with an emphasis on microvascular surgery, facial reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. Microvascular surgery is employed for the most complex and extensive wounds, and is the pinnacle of technical challenge for a plastic surgeon. While operating under a microscope for countless hours and reconnecting tiny blood vessels with hair-thin sutures, success and failure are determined on the scale of millimeters. Dr. Bhatt took on some of the most challenging cases in the Carolinas and served as the Chief of Microsurgery. While at UNC, he has mentored several resident (training) plastic surgeons, and has received multiple teaching awards as well. For Dr. Bhatt, the precision and attention to detail necessary for restoring faces have proven to be crucial in rejuvenating faces as well. Prior to surgery, he devotes much time to creating a customized treatment plan to address the unique goals of each patient. All in all, his goal is simple: to allow patients to become the best versions of themselves. It is a privilege and honor to help every patient achieve this. Dr. Bhatt serves the Augusta and Aiken metro region (and beyond). Thank you for visiting our website!
