Eyelid and Browlift Surgery

Case 4-Lower Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), Laser Resurfacing

Age: 62

Case Description: This delightful patient underwent lower blepharoplasty with laser resurfacing.  Aging around the eyes is characterized with herniation of the eyelid fat pads compounded with sagging and thinning of the eyelid skin.  The ensuing puffiness and crepe-like texture of the eyelids lead to a tired appearance. In this case, blepharoplasty was performed to remove the herniating fat and excess skin through a subciliary, or lash hugging incision.  Laser resurfacing was instrumental in tightening the thinned skin of the eyelids. Case performed by Nick Bhatt, M.D., who serves the Aiken and Augusta area. Photos were taken three months after surgery.
